Hampshire has an enviable blend of countryside, coast and city, being blessed with the natural beauty of two National Parks, approximately 230 miles of stunning coastline and 3 bustling and cosmopolitan cities.
It is also home to some wonderful seaside towns, a cute bundle of picturesque villages and some of Britain’s most enchanting castles and great houses, plus vast areas of unspoilt countryside. Inland to the west lies the New Forest National Park, home to approximately 3,000 wild roaming New Forest ponies and to the east lies the glorious chalk-based South Downs famed for its breath taking scenic walks.
Hampshire’s coast runs from Highcliffe on the Dorset border, past Southampton and Portsmouth, (plus everything in between), right up to Chichester Harbour in West Sussex, about approximately 230 miles in total. This coastline is accessed via The Solent, the stretch of water between the mainland coast and the Isle of Wight, which is one of the busiest coastal zones in England, with Portsmouth having more shipping movements than any other port in the UK.
Southampton
Southampton lies on the edge of the New Forest and is a bustling container port. It is blessed with a deep natural harbour making it suitable for the largest of ships and tankers, including some of the world’s biggest and luxurious cruise liners. It was from Southampton docks that the Titanic set out on its ill-fated maiden voyage in 1912 and to learn more visit the SeaCity Museum or visit the Solent Sky Museum, the birth place of The Spitfire that played such a role in helping win the battle of the skys in the 2nd world war. Alternately Westquay has a fantastic shopping mail with over 130 shops and eateries, Cinema de Lux and Hollywood Bowl’s bowling lanes.
Portsmouth
Amongst other things Portsmouth is home to it’s Historic Dockyard, where The Mary Rose, Nelson’s HMS Victory and the HMS Warrior helps to make the area special. The waterfront is also blessed with the wonderful Gunwharf Quays, a vibrant complex set around the quayside on the mouth of the harbour which is also the waterside home of the iconic Spinnaker Tower which is the 2nd tallest publicly accessible building in the UK. The tower soars 560 feet above the ground and offers unrivalled views over Gosport, Portsmouth, further inland and out over The Solent towards The Isle of Wight and as far as the eye can see.
Winchester
Winchester, positioned on the edge of The South Downs National Park was the former 9th century capital of legionary King Alfred’s England, proudly boasting it’s splendid Medieval Cathedral and is often described as ‘England as it ought to be’. Nearby are the ruins of Wolvesey Castle and the still working 18th century Winchester City Corn Mill, plus there is The Great Hall in Winchester Castle which for over 700 years has housed the mysterious round table linked to King Arthur and his famous knights.
Winchester College is the oldest continuously running school in the country and has been used as a location to film a number of blockbusters such as Harry Potter and Les Misérables. Today the city is home to the country’s largest farmer’s market with bustling shopping streets, lively street theatre and a thriving contemporary arts scene attracting over four million people visitors to the ancient city every year.

Couldn't wish for better
The Granary is a lovely apartment, very close to all amenities and very suitable for our young 2 year old to watch the boats and explore from. Lovely parks within walking distance or a short car ride.

A perfect house for a family holiday, catering for all ages from 3 months to 74!
We very much enjoyed our week at Stoke Villas. We found the house very comfortable and well equipped. The house and garden were safe for the children and the older ones loved being able to go to Waitrose without an adult, to buy croissants! Everyone loved the games room and made full use of it. The hot tub rental added to our fun and we would all recommend this as an extra.

Dairy House, Gosport
Extremely well-equipped, versatile & comfortable large house in a good location. Plenty of room & spacious enough to keep our group (ages 3 to 91) entertained even in winter. On a quiet street but just a few steps to waterfront & pubs. Easy access to Portsmouth on the ferry & numerous attractions within a short drive. Kitchen incredibly well-equipped with plenty of fridge/freezer space. Would definitely recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at Stoke Villas
It was perfect for our family size and accommodated for all of us. From the youngest toddler to eldest grandad - we had lots of fun with the games table and in the garden luckily as the weather was good. The location was excellent for us getting around and we had a super trip over to Portsmouth and back by foot and ferry. The house was very clean and fresh. We look forward to booking with you again.

We had a wonderful long weekend with our family at Grove Lodge to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary
Grove Lodge provided everything we wanted with regards to the facilities, cleanliness and local amenities. It was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom facilities were excellent. The Pool table was an added bonus to keep all of us amused. The garden was well kept and a lovely place to have outside meals. Thank you very much for all the help and guidance you gave us throughout the booking process. You efficiently and clearly sorted out any issues that we had relating to the initial booking with a Third Party Company.

An excellent property
We rented The Dairy House for our Golden Wedding weekend celebration with friends and family. It was spacious, comfortable and well maintained. The games room meant that the younger members of the family were well entertained whilst the more ‘sedate’ friends and family could enjoy conversations without interruption! A most enjoyable weekend.

Cambrian House and Century House
We stayed at both Cambrian House and Century House (situated next door to one another) through Complete Holiday Homes in Gosport. Both homes are beautifully laid out, fully equipped and have a fabulous amount of glasses, crockery and cutlery, as well as large cooking pots and dishes suitable for a big party. I've stayed at many big houses for weekends away and this was the best equipped I've ever seen! The gate in the garden was ideal, meaning people could go between both properties without going onto the main road, the gas BBQ and the amount of off-road parking too is excellent.

Grove Lodge is a fab house
Grove Lodge is a fab house, in a great location! We would definitely return. The dining table was for perfect for a large group to dine together, play games etc. it also turned into a pool/ping pong table which was an added bonus and encouraged some friendly competition! Lots of bathrooms which was great when we all got ready to go out. Room for 4 cars on the drive. The house had everything we could need for our stay, no complaints here and we had a perfect time celebrating our dads 50th Birthday.

I booked Bury Villa for four nights over my 50th birthday
We were a party of 15, (10 adults and 5 kids) and we had the most pleasurable and comfortable stay. The check in was very easy, and we were given plenty of information and advice for our stay. The rooms were immaculate, with plenty of storage, cosy seating, and the kitchen is well stocked for catering. The games room was a massive hit and we had some epic rounds of hide and seek! We also had a beautiful meal at the Anglesey Hotel if you are looking for somewhere to eat. We had a real ball and loved the house, it's perfect for adults and kids and none of us wanted to go home.

The Dairy House for all seasons and reasons
This has been our third visit to this property. We have always been delighted, not easy to achieve being a family of 15 aged from 7 to 77. We particularly enjoyed the short walk along the road to see the new Aircraft Carrier. Fort Brockhurst was also only a short walk away and was enjoyed by everyone.
